Privacy

Last updated: October 2026. This is a translation, the German version is legally binding.

Who is responsible

The controller for personal data on this website is Zeller GmbH, Auf der Heide 6, 31084 Freden (Leine), Germany. You can reach us at hello@critzel.com.

In short

We use no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. We serve fonts and graphics ourselves, without requests to third parties. We only process data when you visit the site or send us a note.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA and served from a data center in Frankfurt am Main. When you visit, Vercel processes technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, requested address, browser and operating system. We need this data to deliver the site securely and reliably.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have a data processing agreement with Vercel. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Standard contractual clauses apply in addition.

The note (contact form)

When you send us a note, we process your idea and your email address to reply to you. The legal basis is taking steps towards a contract or our legitimate interest in answering inquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

If you draw a sketch, we send it as an image with your note. We use the email service Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA) with processing in the EU. We delete inquiries once they are settled and no statutory retention periods apply.

Email

If you email us directly, we process your address and the content to reply to you. The same legal bases and deletion periods apply as for the note.

Color mode

When you switch between light and dark, your browser stores that choice locally (localStorage). The information never leaves your device. This is strictly necessary for the function you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Just send us an email.

You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Ours is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony (Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen), Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.
